  • If you are in Indiana and someone’s life is in danger due to suicidal thinking, psychosis, or other acute mental health crisis, emergency services should be engaged.

Local Stride Crisis Center (available 24/7 for adults (18+)

  • Stride Crisis Center is a 24/7 crisis-diversion resource with trained mental health professionals available to help you both at their downtown Bloomington center and through their Mobile Crisis Unit.

  • Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741 to connect via text with a trained counselor, 24/7

  • SAMHSA (Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration): For mental health and/or substance use concerns. You can access resources and find local providers online samhsa.gov

  • National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI): Offers peer support, education and advocacy for individuals and families affect by mental illness nami.org

  • United Way 211: Dial 2-1-1 (or visit 211.org) for help locating mental health, housing, food and other community supports
